It has been a slow year - last year there was honey to be extracted at the beginning of May - this year we were feeding the bees as they were cold and hungry!

Now though we have our first honey - from apple and May (hawthorn) flowers with superb flavour. Remember the bees are foraging amongst largely organic orchards and deciduous woodland.
